Noise and U-Turns

Mar 5, 2022

Noise comes to us in many forms and from many
directions. Before it dominates your consciousness
do a U-Turn.

Go inside into the deep silence.

Let yourself be embraced by silence. Absorbed
by silence. Let yourself become silence.

Then after silence has hydrated you, come back into
the Outer World accompanied by your ally, Silence.

Investigate the noise with Silence as the core.

What do you notice?

The course brought me from being very anxious about the business aspect of coaching to gaining the confidence necessary to take care of this very important aspect of a coaching business. I have gained the necessary skills, made contacts with people who could help me with certain aspects of setting up my business and I even caught a glimpse of the possibility that business part can be fun and a great way for learning new skills. So inner business alchemy definitely happened for me, for which I am feeling extremely grateful to my instructor and all my classmates.

[Writing, Creativity, and the Mindful Coach] provides a unique space for combined practice of mindfulness and creativity through writing which enriches our effectiveness as coaches. It’s a special opportunity to continue to hone our use of our core competencies while also gaining the ability to go deeper. On the one hand, it allows us coaches to learn skills and establish patterns for doing our own essential “inner work” that helps us to be authentic and real in our work with clients. And on the other hand, it sets us up with tools that are relevant and useful for our clients. This kind of course stretches us beyond the “mechanics” of coaching and therefore makes us relevant and truly relatable resources for our clients.

I really enjoyed taking The Dynamic Trio: EMDR, Positive Psychology & Somatic Coaching. The course provided me with new knowledge and applications of the material, not just to use in my personal life but also to integrate what I learned into my practice as a mental health therapist… I appreciate Ann-Marie setting the mood for the group and laying the foundation for safety, acceptance and openness from the beginning.

As a certified EMDR therapist working as a psychotherapist for the past 12 years, my focus has been helping others deal with the aftermath of trauma. That has taken a toll on my soul. This was my first class with a focus on positive psychology. I am left with a stirring feeling of hope that I can truly help others to thrive, not just survive. Thank you! Becoming a Mindfulness Coach: You and Your Clients helped me deepen my day-to-day mindfulness practice. Using the awareness practices and skills from class, I deepened my sense of how well my thoughts and actions reflect my values and I engaged in exercises and dialogue which supported me in making changes and living more fully in my integrity.
