You don’t have it in you!

Oct 27, 2021

Nonsense!  If you thought it, you have it in you.  Invite
the memory of the first time you realized you wanted
to do it.

Begin reclaiming those long ignored parts of yourself
that brought the awe and wonder into your life.
Breathe them back in.  Let them self-organize and
embody you fully.  Let their wisdom show you the
next steps.

Remember:  No guts, no glory!

In this class, the “engaged” piece of Engaged Mindfulness is just as important as the “mindfulness” piece. I was inspired by this dynamic exploration of the subject of mindfulness, from the evidence-based, scientific arena — where we learn about the measurable, practical benefits to humankind of mindfulness practice — to the deeply personal space — where I clarified and re-engaged my own meditation practice both on the cushion and in how I move through the world

Ann Marie’s gentle teaching style and complete absence of judgement in The Art of Mindfulness was just what this stressed out lapsed meditator needed! Thanks to her skillful instruction, I now have a mindfulness practice that is so right for me it very quickly and naturally became part of the fabric of my life. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a more interesting and loving group of fellow students with whom to share it with. Truly life changing.

Skillful Means is like tilling the soil and planting the seeds for your practice as a coach. This is the literal groundwork that, under Ann Marie’s expert facilitation, allows student coaches to grow into effective partners for their clients.

[Writing, Creativity, and the Mindful Coach] provides a unique space for combined practice of mindfulness and creativity through writing which enriches our effectiveness as coaches. It’s a special opportunity to continue to hone our use of our core competencies while also gaining the ability to go deeper. On the one hand, it allows us coaches to learn skills and establish patterns for doing our own essential “inner work” that helps us to be authentic and real in our work with clients. And on the other hand, it sets us up with tools that are relevant and useful for our clients. This kind of course stretches us beyond the “mechanics” of coaching and therefore makes us relevant and truly relatable resources for our clients.

Skillful Means was a great course for learning the coaching skills for the first time or brushing up on the skills you’ve been using in your practice for a while. I enjoyed watching Ann-Marie demonstrate the coaching skills through practice sessions in class. Would definitely recommend to anyone no matter where they are in their coaching career.

[STRETCH] offers an overview of the ins and outs of the multifaceted world of coaching. It was fluidly and efficaciously presented to allow for the most productive experience. I walk away as a better prepared and more confident coach!

Right Speech simply knocked my socks off. I eagerly read every book, every article or other reference with delight. I cannot begin to say how much I learned about myself in this course and how I can apply things like non-violent communication, vulnerability, and the 12 Pathways to my everyday life, both personally and professionally. Taking this course in tandem with The Art of Engaged Mindfulness could not have been a better pairing. I look forward to taking every course that you offer.

I’ve been a therapist for years now, but still get the jitters every time I begin to work with a new client (probably the “fixer” in me). It was a joy to watch Ann-Marie in action [during Skillful Means: The Coaching Skill Set] and realize that we don’t need to feel like we have all the answers for the client!
