Yes

Apr 18, 2021

Solstice arrives December 21st. It is the shortest day of the year. Until then, each night the darkness lasts longer. There is more time for potent dreams. More time for pacing yourself. More time on the cushion. It is a time of candles reminding us of the Light.

It is a time to give yourself a permission slip to say no. No to more parties, celebrations, food, drink. By saying no, you give yourself the gift to say “Yes!”

Yes to life. Yes to your evolvement. Yes to what is. Prayers of yes.

Prayer consists of only one single word. That is the meaning of amen: it means yes.

If you have said yes with your total heart, you have said all that can be said. If you can say yes with your total heart, you are in celebration. If you can say yes to existence, you have arrived.

Get deeper and deeper into yes. Say yes to each and every thing. Say yes to good and bad, to day and night, to summer and winter. Say yes to success and to failure. Say yes to life and death. Forget everything else; just remember one word: yes, and it can transform your whole being, it can become a radical change, a revolution.

Yes is all that is meant by prayer. People pray with so many words—meaningless; just one word in enough. Yes.

Right Speech is not only something you can take into your coaching practice but it’s something you can take into your personal life as well. These skills have already been extremely helpful in my everyday life from encounters with family to encounters with strangers and everything in between. You won’t regret taking it, I promise!

Body Electric gave me more confidence in the mindfulness and somatic tools I was using in my coaching as well as added a whole new dimension of tools to my toolbox. Having access to effective somatic tools has deepened and enriched the coaching experience for me and my clients.

I quickly started looking forward to Tuesday evenings. I never knew what the take away (from class) would be, but came to recognize it would be rich and meaningful – whether it was from my own process or through witnessing the process and collaboration with my colleagues.

The Art of Engaged Mindfulness has been one of my favorite classes at the Mindfulness Coaching School. I truly appreciate how Ann-Marie has combined the science and spirit of mindfulness. She creates space for students to play and get creative with meditation and find their path to practice. And the resources provided for further learning are priceless!

This class broke down the essence of how to effectively communicate and expanded my vocabulary around feelings, needs and emotions. This was a powerfully moving experience. Srdjan and my classmates created a beautiful mandala of safety, vulnerability and openness from which we all benefitted and grew. One of my favorite MCS classes! Read more

I had a superb experience in this class [Where Mind Goes, Qi Goes: Somatic Coaching with Qigong]. There is a universe to be explored when it comes to understanding somatic work. I just got more and more curious.

As a result of taking this class (Skillful Means), I have newfound confidence about my ability to coach and a greater appreciation for the experience of being coached. The structure of breaking down the 26 Core Competencies into eight classes was perfect for honing my skills and learning to dance in the moment.

It was a different type of MCS class and yet one of the most powerful ones. All classes were filled with practice, real time coaching and wisdom that can be applied in everyday life. This class is for coaches and people who want to develop their communication skills, empathy, listen deeply and speak skilfully. It’s also a class to learn a compassionate approach towards yourself, others and life in general. Read more
