Just like the nightmares we had as kids, our goals can awaken within us states of unregulated stress.
However, by combining mindfulness practices and meditation with community support and accountability, the sea parts and we find ourselves in the Land Where Not One Atom Is Against Us. Here, possibilities are endless, and we are connected to the infinite source of energy and inspiration.
Cushion Wisdom emerges when we sit with intention and contemplate our goals. It propels us with confidence, fresh eyes, and the vision to proceed with our “Big Hairy Audacious Goals” (aka BHAGs).
What is a BHAG?
In his book, Good to Great, Jim Collins describes a BHAG as: “…a huge and daunting goal—like a big mountain to climb. It is clear, compelling, and people ‘get it’ right away. A BHAG serves as a unifying focal point of effort, galvanizing people and creating team spirit as people strive toward a finish line. Like the 1960’s NASA moon mission, a BHAG captures the imagination and grabs people in the gut.”
Your BHAG could be anything, but it’s probably something you procrastinate on, feeling the need to do it perfectly. It’s BIG.
