Dreams, Intuition and Synchronicity II

Some dreams preview the coming moments of the next day or week while others present as nightmares to flush discord out of one’s consciousness. Some dreams are wake up calls to shift directions and make new choices.

As I learned to recall my dreams, I’d often discover in a spontaneous epiphany that I had indeed dreamt the moment I was living, bringing astonishment and questioning the origin of physical reality. If I dreamt this moment before and am living it now, when did it start? Why is it so familiar? It’s different, yet new. Deja Vu.

Desiring to integrate the two worlds of dreamtime and the physical, I learned to dream of future moments and parallel lifetimes. I even learned to strike up conversations with future versions of myself, sharing and learning what he had discovered and how he had gotten to where he was. I learned to engage with intention, seek and receive answers. If I had a dream of something that correlated to a physical place, I would go to the physical location to discover what that physical place had for me, and how the two realities touched.

On one occasion, I had been spontaneously dreaming through the eyes of owls flying across my local landscape. In another dream I saw the nearby hills with pottery and ash. The next day, in my physical life, I went to the store where the dream took place. There were huge clay pots of many colors, garden fountains and sculptures of animals. An owl statue caught my eye. As I purchased the statue I told the owner that I had come because of a dream. To my surprise, she loved my story.

She told me, “When you dream of owls it means you are about to undergo a great adventure.”  She told me of an owl flying into her house. It had landed on a curtain rod. As she described the scene, I realized I had dreamt that moment through the eyes of the owl several nights before. For her it was a physical event occurring years before, yet for me, it was a recent dream.

This kind of connection is a taste of the incredible magic of synchronicity and connectivity we find in life. But first we must remember to act on our dreams. In this way the two seemingly separate realities become one. Going beyond our habitual comfort zones, we explore our creations and find ourselves seeing through new eyes.

Now my life’s deepest joy is finding where the physical and the non-physical dreamtimes meet. In working with the inner symbols of dreams, they overflow quite naturally into this so-called “solid” physical, “outer” reality appearing quite miraculously before me.

My dreams have become my trusted friends that know me as intimately as I know them.

For instance, while editing this article, I realized I had dreamt of an owl turning into a raven in the driveway outside my home. I asked myself, “What does an owl and raven mean to me?” My first thought was Owl means Spirit and Raven means Magic. In other words the non-physical spirit moves into physical magic. And now to my wonderment as I write this, ravens are cawing outside through my open door.

If you are called to know more of your dream self, and would like to practice these dream coaching methods, join me for my upcoming class.
