When the moment is all about laughter!

Mar 20, 2022

Ann-Marie back in the day…

Take 30 seconds and laugh. Laugh strong. Laugh
loud. Laugh for no other reason except to laugh.

After 30 seconds go into silence and notice what
arises. (Do this now before you read on!)

Laughing meditation alters the dopamine and
serotonin levels in our bodies resulting in a decrease
in depression, stress and anxiety.

In other words: Aliveness vibrates. Attitudes shift. Joy
seeps in. Beginners Mind reigns. Life becomes
vibrant.

WARNING! Watch out for the Inner Critic! When we are
not feeling up to snuff we will put off Laughing
Meditation. This is only an excuse from IC telling us
we need to suffer through whatever we are
experiencing first.

Not so! Many meditation practitioners choose to do
Laughing Meditation in the midst of suffering. For
instance, joining together in Laughing Meditation
when our Beloved is dying is one of the highest
moments for all…especially the Beloved who is
passing.

I recommend that all coaches, regardless of the industry in which they work or the type of coaching that they do, explore mindfulness coaching. The skills practiced and explored in the Mindfulness Coaching School promote successful coaching outcomes. For example, practicing the skill, “global listening” was powerful. As a seasoned coach, I will integrate more global listening into my coaching engagements, knowing the power of this skill to provoke powerful questions can drive positive forward movement.

I am an already-certified coach from another coaching program, who took this course [Mentor Coaching] in order to meet the needs of re-certifying my ACC credential. Joining this group was a requirement, and thank goodness that it was. Watching fellow apprentices practice Mindfulness Coaching with each other has reignited my passion for coaching. I feel that I’ve found a new learning and coaching path thanks to the power of what I’ve seen and participated in. I look forward to learning more about mindfulness and how to apply it in my coaching practice. Even in short practice sessions, it seems to me that mindfulness tools deepen the experience exponentially! What a joy it has been. I can’t wait to learn more.

Learning how to listen deeply to the wisdom of the body and to trust that we are fluent in our own somatic language has provided such a valuable coaching tool and life practice.

When I initially signed up for Right Speech, I was skeptical that my communication skills could be improved by reading a couple of books and participating in a couple of class exercises but I was wrong. This class has drastically improved the way I communicate on a personal and professional level. I now have a full toolbox of techniques to better communicate with co-workers, family members, and practically anyone. The skills that I have learned have help me to improve relationships, facilitate meetings, and interact with others more effectively. I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn how to better communicate.

Right Speech is a critical prerequisite to helping all conversations in life unfold with clarity and understanding. I wish something like this were taught to all students in our early K-12. Just imagine how the world would improve!

I thoroughly enjoyed The Art of Engaged Mindfulness… The format of the course enabled me to learn about the impact of meditation and therefore choose to fit more meditation into my lifestyle. Through the class, I expanded my knowledge of meditation and mindfulness, strengthened my practice, and met some great people. Special thanks to Ann-Marie, who shared her enormously rich insights, experience, and tools to help us become more effective in minding our mind.

Mindful Eating: Mindful Life is more than just about food. It’s about our emotional responses to trauma and how we cope with them. The class was extremely beneficial and was a growing experience that will be a part of me the rest of my life.
