If you penetrate one barrier, there is another.

This reminder is a map of life.  If we consider a challenge, an obstruction, a barrier as a prevention of our destination then it will prevent us moving forward.

By re-framing the barrier into a part of the journey’s map we skip over the disgruntlement, the despair. Instead it’s just part of life to observe and continue moving forward.

Meditation is called “practice” because practice is required daily to train for an awakened existence.

Daily, I must penetrate these barriers, to live the life of liberation.  This is what gets me to my cushion each day…I call it Cushion Wisdom!

The Dynamic Trio was an excellent introduction to the EMDR protocol, giving insights to students who were new to the techniques presented, like me, and also to students familiar with EMDR from use in trauma treatment. We got to experience the power of EMDR for coaching ourselves from the instructor’s skillful examples in class with actual student situations presented. I think we were all impressed with the results.

Right Speech simply knocked my socks off. I eagerly read every book, every article or other reference with delight. I cannot begin to say how much I learned about myself in this course and how I can apply things like non-violent communication, vulnerability, and the 12 Pathways to my everyday life, both personally and professionally. Taking this course in tandem with The Art of Engaged Mindfulness could not have been a better pairing. I look forward to taking every course that you offer.

The Writing, Creativity and the Mindful Coach class has opened new doors for me. I have kicked my inhibitions about writing to the curb and embraced the possibility of what I can create. Now, there is freedom and expansion when I have a pen in my hand and I sit at my desk.

Writing, Creativity and the Mindful Coach takes each of these key components and weaves them together to create an effective tool for coaching. It allows both coach and client different ways to dive deeper into the coaching agenda and help the client uncover thoughts/feelings that might be illusive in a safe way.

This class [Skillful Means] has been such a great growing experience. I’ve developed confidence using skills that had previously just been academic for me. I have especially enjoyed working with other students of such diverse backgrounds, and being able to see them use the same skill through their own unique perspectives. I hope to carry forward the creative and challenging energy I found here.

This [Business Alchemy] is the course I was waiting for to help me understand what it takes to be an entrepreneur. The combination of theory, nuts & bolts business and marketing concepts and hands-on instruction for creating a web page is magical! It really is alchemy!

Body Electric is great for those that are looking to challenge the automatic responses and default ways of thinking and being. Realizing that the conversation with the body has a different vibration and that it doesn’t always speak quickly is so valuable. Our bodies are a wealth of comfort and wisdom. This class provides tools for starting that dialogue with yourself and with others.

As a certified EMDR therapist working as a psychotherapist for the past 12 years, my focus has been helping others deal with the aftermath of trauma. That has taken a toll on my soul. This was my first class with a focus on positive psychology. I am left with a stirring feeling of hope that I can truly help others to thrive, not just survive. Thank you!
